Dr Indira Minus-Grimes

Dr. Indira Minus-Grimes is a Bahamian hailing from the island of Grand Bahama. She is the daughter of educators, a wife and mother. She is a physician specialized in Family Medicine and Gerontologist.
Dr. Grimes obtained her MBBS (MD) from the University of the West Indies in 2004. She completed a Doctorate (DM) in Family Medicine from the University of the West Indies, Trinidad in December 2012 and completed a post graduate diploma in Gerontology with Distinction. She has a special interest in geriatric medicine and recently completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Gerontology June 2018 with the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica.
Dr. Grimes is currently a Consultant Physician and the Director of Clinical Service of the Geriatric Hospital, Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre. Her private practices are at Island Health Care Ltd. And Nu-Life Health care Ltd. She is also an associate physician with the Doctors Hospital Health System and the National Health Insurance Authority.
Dr. Grimes has been active in health outreach and education through broadcasting the health tips for the Public Hospitals Authority aired on ZNS, working with the Older Persons Bill Committee (under the Dept. of Social Services), The Nursing Council of the Bahamas, Medical Association of the Bahamas, University of the West Indies School of Medicine and Clinical Research and others.
